Named after one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance
The Restaurant, established in 2000, offers authentic Italian food prepared by genuine Italian Chefs, presenting a menu with specialities such as pasta, pizza, veal, pork, duck, chicken, fish, seafood, as well as vegetarian dishes and homemade desserts.
The restaurateurs come from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, well known for its culinary art that has been passed down through the generations, making it that strong to stand the test of the time.
In 2011 the restaurant extended with a new area called “Michelangelo Deli-Cafe” which is open for breakfast, lunch and coffees throughout the day, and which becomes, in the evening, an attractive additional dining room taking the number of covers up to 70, while 12 extra seats are available outside in the summer for eating al fresco.
The deli-cafe works also as a shop where the customers can buy typical , proper Italian products.
As well as a high standard proper Italian Menu, the restaurant has an excellent wine list featuring a wide range of Italian wines, including a special vintage selection for a celebration or for that special occasion.
Intimately candlelit at night the restaurant has an attractive rustic decor that provides a homely relaxed atmosphere which, together with an efficient and friendly service, allows you to enjoy the glorious seaview over the Solent channel.
Located at the west end of Ryde Seafront it is within walking distance from ferry, hovercraft terminals, bus stations and shops.
The restaurant also caters for parties and crews providing a choice of different set menus to be agreed in advance.
